Traditional Creamy Coleslaw
This has got to be one of the very best coleslaw recipes I have ever found. It was originally posted here:
Traditional Creamy Coleslaw
- 1 cup mayonnaise
- 1/4 cup sugar
- 2 Tbs rice vinegar
- 1-1/2 Tbs lemon juice
- 1 Tbs prepared horseradish
- 1/2 Tsp onion powder
- 1/2 Tsp dry mustard
- 1/2 Tsp celery salt (I use celery powder personally)
- 1/2 Tsp salt
- 1/2 Tsp ground black pepper
- 1 (28 oz) package of coleslaw mix - or, you know, you can shred a head of cabbage and grate some carrots.
Whisk up all of the non-vegetable ingredients in a large bowl until the sugar is dissolved. Fold in the coleslaw mix. Cover bowl and refrigerate 1 hour before serving.
