Sweet Biscuits

Sweet Biscuits

Ingredients
  • 3 cups flour
  • 1 cup sugar
  • 4 tsp baking powder
  • 1/2 tsp salt
  • 3/4 cup butter
  • 2 tbs lemon juice
  • 1 tsp vanilla 
  • 3/4 cup milk
  • 1 egg
Instructions
  1. Cut butter into chunks
  2. In a food processor, combine the flour, sugar, baking powder and salt
  3. Cut in the butter until mixture resembles coarse meal
  4. Transfer to a large bowl and make a well in the center of the dry mix
  5. Mix together the lemon juice, vanilla, milk and egg
  6. Pour liquid mix into the well and mix only enough to form a dough ball
  7. Roll to 1 inch thickness and cut out biscuits with a 3 inch biscuit cutter and place on a parchment-lined baking sheet.
Bake at 375 degrees F for 20 minutes or until golden brown
